Last time I wrote I was about to head off to the Northern Hemisphere.

We're just back and we had a wonderful time. There are too many highlights to recount here but some things do stand out. In particular, I'll never forget our amazing train trip through the Canadian Rockies, from Calgary to Vancouver. It was a truly spectacular journey.

As the old song goes, I left my heart in San Francisco. What a beautiful city, and what friendly and warm people we met there and in Seattle, the only other city in the USA that we were able to visit.

We're definitely going back to spend more time in North America as soon as we possibly can.
